A day with Damart

Travel, fashion and fun people. For me, that’s the holy trinity of being part of the Instagram world.

And a recent photoshoot with Damart UK, modelling some of their SS19 collection, gave me the opportunity to enjoy all of those things over a fun-packed couple of days.

The shoot was held in Yorkshire – one of the UK’s most beautiful regions – and it was a treat to head up there on the train and stay in a cute hotel overnight with the rest of the crew.

The day delivered on the ‘fun people’ factor too, as I was modelling alongside the gorgeous ladies Beth Goodrham and Katie Terpsma. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Beth before and was really happy to be spending the day with them. Katie is actually a full-time professional model and it was amazing to work with her and pick up a ton of tips for the future. I now have a few more poses in my repertoire!

We also had a great behind-the-scenes team, looking after hair and make-up, styling, and photos.

If you’ve ever wondered what happens on these shoots then I can exclusively reveal that they are fuelled on the heady cocktail of tea, biscuits and laughter. Rock and roll eh?

One other lovely thing was that, since it was shot in a farmhouse (with a photo studio attached), they even had a resident dog who loved hanging about with the team.

It was an early start, so we could get hair and make-up done first. We had three different looks to model which were: Hello Nautical, Hello Fuchsia and Mono and Hello Florals.

We did lots of still shots in the studio and also outside – we were really lucky to have good weather that day – plus some video footage. Take a look at the video clips on my Instagram stories.

And to make sure the day truly went with a bang, our final picture saw the team fire off a glitter cannon. This giant confetti explosion was a great way to end a brilliant shoot.

I’ve added some shots below along with the links to all the great outfits – let me know your favourite look!
